Denise Espino, MS, LPC-S

Denise R. Espino is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor who graduated with a Master of Science degree in Counseling & Guidance from Corpus Christi State University (Texas A&M Corpus Christi).  Denise worked in community mental health (LMHA system) for 29 years before transitioning to a role at her local church, overseeing both counseling and mental health support group ministries.

Since childhood, Denise has had a call on her life to help others live an abundant life.  For Denise, this encompasses the God given ability for each of us to live a life filled with peace and joy, no matter the circumstances in which we find ourselves.

Recognizing that we often need help to access the ability to live this way, Denise will use her many years of counseling experience across a wide variety of issues, to help you determine choices that may restore peace and joy in your life.

Denise relies on Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques in session.  She strongly believes that our thoughts really do affect our feelings and behaviors, which, in turn, determines where we find ourselves on that abundant life road.

While Denise may approach life from a Christian world view, she will ensure that each person with whom she meets will be listened to well while also being treated with dignity and respect. Her part-time practice will focus on adults in the following areas:  life transitions, career counseling, pre-marital, newlyweds and new parents as well as family members or individuals experiencing life during a time when mental health symptoms interfere with living life abundantly.
