Alissa Valenzuela is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She works with adults, couples and families.
Alissa is passionate about helping people overcome daily difficulties that are holding them back from living their best life. She strives to build a collaborative relationship built on respect and trust, meeting each client exactly where they are. She believes in solution-focused, client-centered approaches utilizing EMDR, Trauma-informed and Attachment-based approaches. She works to foster a safe and supportive environment where client and counselor can effectively work together to resolve problems.
Alissa’s primary goal as a counselor is to help you facilitate positive changes by identifying sources of distress, uncovering your own personal strengths, and empowering you to ultimately reach your life goals.
