Marissa Blankenship, LCSW

Marissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She graduated with her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Louisville. She has experience with home-based therapy, psychiatric hospitals management, family therapy, and couples therapy. Additional specialties include foster and adoptive children, trauma, attachment disorders, military trauma, and generational trauma. She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and military members.

Marissa believes in getting to the root of the problem to ensure that one can grow into whom the client wants to be and what the client wants to achieve. To get to the root, Marissa realizes that trust, having a non-judgmental relationship, and having empathy is vital to making progress. Marissa is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). She is passionate about helping clients meet the goal that they want to achieve and helping the clients regain a more fulfilling life.
