Richard Sambrook, PMHNP
Richard Sambrook is a U.S. Army Veteran and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years. He graduated from Purdue University with a Master’s degree in Nursing and a portfolio that includes pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics.
His experience includes work in hospital psychiatric emergency departments, pediatric psychiatric residential treatment, residential and intensive outpatient drug rehabilitation and detoxification programs, and tele-psychiatry. He has a sister who has intellectual disability and is well versed in both treatment and family dynamics and the unique challenges those families face.
Richard works with adolescents, adults, and retirees. He also has experience working with veterans and PTSD. He is a regular and active member of the Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses of Texas, Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses of Austin, and Texas Nurses Association. He has been a member and committee chair with the Texas Association of Home Care and Hospice.
